In my ranking of the five creator income streams, affiliate sits in a sweet spot: unlike brand deals, nobody has to say yes to you first, and unlike a digital product, you don’t have to make anything. A video you posted in March can quietly earn in July. That’s not “passive income” fantasy, it still takes real work, but it’s the only stream a 2k-follower account can switch on this week.

I call it the Asked-Twice Audit: any product asked about twice goes on your list. That list, usually 5 to 10 items, is your entire starting affiliate catalogue. Not 50 products. Not a storefront. The things people already ask you about.
